Hi & welcome to SICK PAINT 

My name is Dean & I am the director the rather fetching fellow in the picture HA HA HA!  Now you have had a great laugh I mean it, stop laughing and pay attention.

About me: I have been into cars since I was born.  My dad was always building a hot-rod or custom car & my family as I grew up consisted of mechanics, custom painters, custom car builders & my second home was either the garage, a show or the drag strip as I was growing up & it hasn’t really changed since.  

So basically, you can say I have fuel coursing through my veins not blood.  My passion for cars grew & grew so much so that I became a mechanic and auto painter way back when.  Fast forward a few years & I no longer work on cars as a mechanic, I shoot them.  How did I get from a garage to photography I hear you ask, well I met my girlfriend now wife, Kathryn, & we wanted to buy a house & settle down so I had to grow up fast so I had to sell my custom/hot-rod cars and get a better paying job like we all have to do.

 After about 4 years I started getting back into the scene by taking photographs of the shows & car scene.  I figured if I could not buy/build them then I could capture images & keep them at least until I could buy another car to revamp.  I then started to become known in the local scenes & guys & gals would contact me asking for the images & then booking full shoots.  I would do these for fun then I was contacted by a local company who were re-branding/changing the look of there fleet of vans & they liked my style of my photography for their website for the new image.

 I told them I was not doing this as a job but a hobby so I told them thanks but no thanks, but the offers kept coming in thick & fast so I thought what if!!  And I pondered for a while until I attended a race meet at Santa pod race way when I bumped into a guy who had made a career out of this shooting exotic cars & race cars so as we settled down in the camp for the night I saw him shooting a top fuel race car & I thought I want to do this full time so that night SICK PAINT was born & it has been gaining traction ever since.
